maintain my area clean.

rules, procedures, maintain
the sort, order, cleaning.
We do 5S by conviiction and I do not need
supervision. Is part of my habits and daily
routine.

5S with “Visual Control”
All needed items have to be identified
Means get rid immediately of all items unnecessary to meeting daily
production demands from workplace.
1. SORT (Clear up)
Keep:•Only whatis needed
•Only in the amountsneeded
•Only whenit is needed.

Is to assign an addressfor each necessary item identified by SORT,
and to place each of them in an orderly manner so that anyone can
easily take out and use only a needed amount of need items anytime
when needed.
<Steps>
•Establish item locations, quantity and flow.
•Visual Borders for the assigned area.
•Identify the assigned area with labels.
•Everything must be placed in accordance with
the assigned area.
•Implement Min/Max and FIFO system
Be Thorough!
2. SET IN ORDER
<Effectiveness>
By standardizing the method and location, the wasteful task to locate the item can
be eliminated, and this will lead to an improvement in productivity.

2.Clarify the cleaning procedures (when, who, where, what and how)
3.Prevent dirtiness.

Cleaning is Part of Improvements!

3. SHINE (Clean up)

Cleaningwill improve the work environment and
reduce defects.
Reduces Injuries.
Improves awareness of potential machine
failure.

Standardization reduces fluctuation which is the source inconsistencies and
poor quality.

Is to maintain the good condition gained
through the Sort, Set in Order, and Shine.
