Scotland A country that is part of the United Kingdom (英國) The second largest city in the United Kingdom The people are called: Scottish (蘇格蘭人) Languages: English, Scots ( 低地蘇格蘭語 ) and Scottish Gaelic (蘇格蘭蓋爾語)

Let’s watch a video! Think about… what you can see what you can hear

W hat can you see? A kilt (蘇格蘭裙) A kind of knee-length skirt A traditional dress for the people in the Scottish highlands (蘇格蘭高地)

Tartan (方格方紋) A kind of patterned cloth Patterns with different directions (vertical, horizontal and diagonal) Was made with wool

Different colours in a kilt (蘇格蘭裙)

Red in t artan (方格方紋) Some consider it as battle tartans because they would not show blood

Green in tartan (方格方紋) Sometimes they colour green represents big grasslands and forests

Blue in tartan (方格方紋) Blue can represent lakes and rivers

Yellow in tartan (方格方紋) The colour yellow is sometimes used to represent various crops

Queen Elizabeth II becomes one of the most popular tartans Royal Stewart tartan Queen Elizabeth II’s personal (私人) tartan

What can you also see? A sporran (毛皮袋) (a purse or a pouch) Hang around the waist from a chain or leather strap
