About This Presentation

Have you ever thought about playing King's Papa Pear Saga game? If so, here are some tips for the beginner.

A Guide For The Beginner
Papa Pear Saga combines fruit-shooting fun with pinball’s
gameplay mechanics. It offers you many challenging levels to
keep you busy for hours. Instead of bubbles, you will be popping
acorns, carrots, and an assortment of vegetables and fruits.
There are plenty of other objectives, such as lighting up
animated buckets by shooting pear-shaped balls into them,
pushing colorful fruits into buckets, and scoring X number of
points. So let’s start playing!

Papa Pears are the balls of the game. In this
game, you need to shoot pegs made of
acorns, vegetables, and other objects using
pear-shaped balls, and then shoot the ball
into the hungry buckets waiting at the
bottom of the screen. To progress through
the game, you must complete the challenge
set at the beginning of each level and earn
enough points to gain at least one star.
Bounce each Papa Pear on as many pins and
objects as possible, before it lands in one of
the buckets below to win points. Each new
level gives you more objects to bounce on,
which means more points to gain. However,
as the game progresses, the levels also
become more and more challenging as you
are required to finish different objectives.
Please watch this video.
Objective

These are available power-ups that have special effects when you hit them with a Papa Pear. You can
unlock different power-ups as you progress through the levels and by performing certain actions in the
game.
•Multiplier Pin
•Papa Fire
•Grande Pin
•Double Pin
•Light up Pin
•Pomegranade
•Aerial Support
What are the power ups?

Multiplier Pins are created when all items of the same type (acorns, onions, carrots, etc) are destroyed.
When a pear hits a multiplier pin, the points are doubled for every bounce. For the next multiplier pin will
be tripled, followed by quadrupled, and so on. They are especially useful in points levels and power-up
collection levels.
Papa Fire is created when a pear hits walls on both sides. Papa fire can burn those annoying cacti
which deflates the pears when awake. Pears can bounce safely on burnt cacti. Papa fire can also burn
lilies, which will no longer produce bubbles on contact, and pea pods. This booster is not
recommended on levels that require you to remove peas in peapods as the pea pods will no longer
produce peas after being burnt. It is highly recommended on levels with a lot of cacti.
Papa Grande is created when a pear is bounced fifty times before falling into buckets. The pear will
grow into a large pear after hitting the pin. However, papa grandeis deactivated when the large
pear is stuck between pins that cannot be destroyed, such as bamboos and hazelnuts, hits an
awake cactus or hits a bucket lid. A papa grandecan remove two bucket lids.

Light Upis created when seven pears fall into already lit buckets. It can light up a bucket randomly
even if it has lids. This booster can only be used on "light up the buckets" levels, and is
recommended when all five buckets have completely intact lids that take three hits to destroy.
Double Pinsare created when a pear bounces on bucket rims five times. When a pear hits a double pin,
a blue pear will be produced. If a papa grandeor papa fire hits a double pin, the pear produced will be
exactly the same, except for papa grandethat the pear will be blue in color.
Aerial Support booster gives you a certain amount (I think from 8 to 10)power-up pins (fire, grande,
double, multiplier, light up) within selected area. Notice those power-up pins are not always the same.
Promegrandewill blow up all surrounding pins! Destroy more pins for an explosive score!

Papa Pear Saga has several game modes, each of which challenges you in a different way:
•Lighting up the buckets
•Clearing a number of pins of the same type
•Fruit Mode
•Score
•Collecting power-ups
What are the different game modes?

The goal is to drop a pear into each of the
buckets at the bottom of the board. They
will light up when you ‘feed’ them Papa
Pears. In some levels, the buckets will be
covered with corks, lids and other objects
so you will need to break these by
bouncing your Papa Pear off them multiple
times. Once the cover is removed, you can
easily send the Papa Pear into the empty
bucket.
Lighting up the buckets

Clearing a number of pins of the same type
This challenge requires you to remove specific pins
such as acorns or carrots. Your score is displayed at
the left side of the screen. Early on, you will not
have to clear all of them, so go for the easier ones.
As you move up to the higher levels, you will need
to get most or all, so plan your shots carefully. Make
a Double Pin or a Fire Pin to help you out if you are
having a lot of trouble. These levels are definitely
the hardest ones in the game so far.

Large fruits are placed around the
board, and you need to bounce them
into any bucket. These stages aren’t
too hard but remember to keep your
goal in mind. You can push the fruits
a little with your pear, but it’s far
more effective to remove the ground
from under them. A good idea would
be to use your first few pears to clear
a funnel shape down towards one of
the buckets. Most of the power-ups
are very useful in these stages, since
the more pins you clear, the easier it
is to get the fruit down.
Fruit Mode -Drop The Fruit Into The Buckets

To clear these levels, simply reach the number of points the game requests. Keep in mind that if you bounce a pear
off the top of the stage, you will earn some bonus points. Always aim high to get the most out of your shots, and look
for chances to make Fire Pins. Most stages will have a point barrier you need to break in addition to other goals. In
those stages, keep in mind that if you clear the main goal, your remaining pears will be fired off in a Papa Fiesta and
rack up a fair number of points, but you’ll want to make sure you’re pretty close to the score cap before finishing up
the main goal.
Score

You need to collect the designated number of
power-up pins such as the Fire Pin, Grande Pin,
Double Pin or Multiplier Pin. Some of them are
displayed when the level opens, but you can collect
additional ones by performing certain actions in the
game. Familiarize yourself with how to make each of
the power-up pins. Depending on what it asks for,
some of these levels are no fun to clear!
Collecting Power-ups

The next few slides contain tips that I found online to help you
play the game. On each page is the urllink where the tips came
from.
TIPS

1.In levels where you will have to score “X” number of points and light up all five buckets, try to complete the first
objective first. Aim and shoot at a group of pegs to get more points. You don’t need to worry immediately about lighting
up a bucket, as all the pears will end up inside one or more of the buckets. Once you meet the score objective, light up
the remaining buckets by aiming directly at them.
2.You can shoot multiple pears (up to three pears) into buckets if you want to destroy pegs quickly and score more points.
3.When lighting up buckets, clear the corner ones first, then aim at the middle bucket. You can easily shoot pears at
buckets beside the middle one.
4.Destroy fruits and vegetables (pegs) of the same type to earn a special multiplier peg. Multiplier pegs double your
points for each bounce. Example: A special multiplier peg will appear once you remove all acorns in the game board.
5.Bouncing pears off objects, fruits, and vegetables earns you additional points. This gameplay concept is very similar to
Pinball games you’ve played on your computer. The more bounces, the more points and stars you will earn. Points fill up
the star meter located at the top right corner of the screen. A full star meter earns you three stars.

1.Shoot the pear directly into the buckets for extra points. On the other hand, you can earn 1000 points just by
aiming directly at the buckets without hitting any pegs. This is a great way to earn extra points, especially if you
have a clear game board already. Once you fulfill the objectives in the level you are playing, this will trigger a
“Pear Fever” bonus, in which the remaining pears in the shooter will be released. This will help you score high
points and earn stars.
2.Try to earn special multiplier booster pegs. You can create a multiplier power up by destroying the pegs of the
same type of fruit or vegetable. For instance, if you clear the board of all acorns, you earn a multiplier peg that
will double your score once hit.

1.There are times where it is best to fire more than one pear at a time, especially when you are running out of time.
If the timer's running short, fire away! Just don't go crazy at the start of a level. You can shoot up to 3 at once.
2.You can earn 500 points for hitting the ceiling.
3.Don't stress over lighting up all the buckets if it's one of your objectives. Focus on a level's other objective first
because you will inevitably light upbuckets as you rack up your score or go for fruit. Those pears have to fall
somewhere, and that somewhere is usually in a bucket.
4.The more bounces, the more points you will earn! Unless you're goingfor something specific or objective-related,
try to bounce as much as possible.

You don't have to buy gold bars to get special power up pegs. They canbe earned in a level by fulfilling certain
conditions. So what are they, you might ask?
