9. Clinical manifestation Perianal itching and restless sleep Diagnosis Routine stool analysis rarely demonstrate the ova Perianal swap Direct visualization of worm Treatment Albendazole 400mg once with a repeat dose 2 wks later for all cases more than 1 year

11. Clinical manifestation Trophozoites are responsible for tissue invasion and destruction Flask shaped ulcers within intestinal mucosa,liver Asymptomatic cyst passer Amebic dysentery ,colitis Extraintestinal disease(liver , amebic brain abscess ,pulmonary disease , skin lesion ,genitourinary)

12. Diagnosis and manegment Stool analysis detection of cyst (excretion of cyst can be intermittent) Serum antiamebic antibodies Pcr in stool Treatment Invasive amebiasis metronidazole Luminal amebicide paromomycin or diloxanide furoate
