Introduction to pronoun

Introduction to Pronoun Pro means for. Noun means naming words . Definition : Pronoun is a word used instead of noun. These  are short words we swap in for other nouns to make our writing and speech faster and more varied. Examples: Ali is a good boy. He is very intelligent and smart. Jhon is absent, because he is ill. The books are where you left them .

Importance of Pronoun Because if you don't, things get kind of confusing. I mean, imagine cutting out pronouns from your sentences, you'd either have to refer to everyone by name, or just not refer to anyone. Imagine there weren’t any pronouns. You wouldn’t be able to say “I” or “me” you would have to use your own name. But then you might be talking about somebody else with the same name. So maybe you need to state your address  every time you mention yourself. Pronouns are used in order to avoid having to repeat the word or name of the specific object, person, or whatever you have been referring to.

Kinds of Pronoun Personal pronouns Interrogative pronouns Indefinite pronouns Relative pronouns Reflexive pronouns Demonstrative pronouns Reciprocal pronouns

01:What is a Personal Pronoun? Personal pronouns  are used instead of repeating a name multiple times in one sentence or sentences that are close to each other.

Story of 1 st ,2 nd ,3 rd person Personal pronouns are sorted into a few different categories based on factors like a point of view and quantity. These categories include first-person, second-person, third-person, singular pronouns, and plural pronouns.

Personal Pronoun Cases

Examples

02:Interrogative Pronouns Interrogative pronouns are pronouns that ask questions. A pronoun takes the place of a noun. An interrogative pronoun takes the place of the unknown information the question asks about. There are 5 interrogative pronouns:  who ,  whom ,  what ,  which , and  whose

03: Reflexive Pronoun: A  reflexive pronoun  comes when the subject and object refer to the same person or thing. The nine English  reflexive pronouns  are:   myself, yourself, himself, herself, oneself, itself, ourselves, yourselves,  and  themselves .

Examples

04:What is an  indefinite pronoun ? An   indefinite pronoun  is a pronoun that doesn’t specifically identify what it is referring to. For example, the word  someone  is an indefinite pronoun in the sentence  Someone ate the last slice of pizza . We know that the pronoun  someone  refers to a human being but we don’t know any other information about them. Indefinite pronouns vaguely or generally refer to a person or thing

05:What is a Relative Pronoun? A relative pronoun is a word that is used to connect an independent clause to a dependent clause. 1:Spaghetti,  which  we eat at least twice a week, is one of my family’s favorite meals. 2:Where did you buy the dress  that  you wore last week? 3:The book,  when  it was finally returned, was torn and stained. 4:The cyclist  who  won the race trained hard.

06:What is a Demonstrative Pronoun? A demonstrative pronoun is a  pronoun  that is used to point to something specific within a sentence. Demonstratives are words, such as this and that, used to indicate which entities are being referred to and to distinguish those entities from others.

07:What Are Reciprocal Pronouns? A reciprocal pronoun is used to express a mutual action or relationship. There are two reciprocal pronouns: Each other One another

Conclusion A  pronoun  is a word that replaces a noun in a sentence.  Pronouns  are used so that our language is not cumbersome with the same nouns being repeated over and over in a paragraph. Some  examples  of  pronouns  include I, me, mine, myself, she, her, hers, herself, we, us, ours and ourselves. The seven types of pronouns are personal, reflexive, reciprocal, relative, demonstrative, interrogative, and indefinite. Certain types of pronouns closely relate to one another, and many words can function as multiple different types of pronouns, depending how they’re used.
