Slide Content

Have you ever heard about the Past Progressive ? Yes!! it’s a tense used to describe an action that was happening at an specific time in the past.

I MUST REMEMBER : In order to form the Past Progressive , I have to use the AUXILIARY VERB “ TO BE” in the past form : WAS/WERE and the ING form of the verb

HEY ! You can also use Past Progressive To describe an action that started in the past and was interrupted by another one , or to describe two actions that were in progress at the SAME time in the past Example:  He was writing an e-mail when the phone rang.  I was preparing dinner while Melanie was working upstairs.

Remember to use this words to create Past Progressive Sentences When & While What is the difference between when and while?  WHILE  W e use while when there are two long actions. WHEN:  We use it when one action is longer than the other one .
