Additional Hotgi Bye Pass Line 1 The work of Additional Hotgi Bye pass line was sanctioned by GM, CR 06.10.2023 2 Sub Work order was issued to KRCL amounting to Rs. 23.99 Lakhs. 06.11.2023 3 Alternative Alignment Design report was submitted by KRCL on 10.03.2024 and approved by CE (C) Central on 05.04.2024. 05.04.2024.   4 The latest DPR and Cost Estimate was submitted to the Railway Board 04.02.2025  5 Railway Board Sanction for Capacity augmentation projects were obtained 06.02.2025 6 Project Sanctioned amounting to Rs. 176.52 Cr vide Railway Board’s letter no. 2025/ W-I/ CR/ DL/ Hotgi Chord Line/ 10 (E-3493361) dated 22.04.2025. 7 Land Acquisition proposal submitted to Collector, Solapur 23.05.2025. 8 Project Sheet is approved from Open line HQ. 19. Constraints:- PVR-DD & vice versa trains require Engine/ BV reversal at Kurduwadi Justification: Kurduwadi is a very busy Railway junction of Solapur division of Central Railway. Handling four directional traffic makes the operations more complicated. Solapur – Latur – Solapur & Daund – Pandharpur – Daund trains require loco reversal at Kurduwadi resulting in detention of Mail/Exp trains (30minutes) & Goods trains (2 hrs). To reduce the detention of trains at Kurduwadi junction, there is a need to construct a chord line at KURDUWADI connecting to Dhavlas and Laul stations, bypassing Kurduwadi station. Benefits: The project if sanctioned will be contributing for the following points from operational point of view, Reduce the detention of trains Ease congestion of Kurduwadi station Increase average speed of Freight trains Improve wagon turn round Increase availability of wagons for loading Enhance safety in train operations, and Improve overall mobility of operation Chord line at Kurduwadi connecting to Dhavlas and Laul stations (PVR-DD-PVR)

20. Justification: Kurduwadi is a very busy Railway junction of Solapur division of Central Railway. Handling four directional traffic makes the operations more complicated. Also, POH/ROH workshop activities are playing vital role in Kurduwadi yard. POH (Coaching) workshop is required at Kurduwadi . A joint survey was conducted on 21.08.2025 regarding feasibility for POH (Coaching) workshop at Chink-Hill (Old RPF Training Centre) Near KWV. Benefits: The project if sanctioned will be contributing for the following points from operational point of view, maintains operational reliability, minimizes en -route failures, and reduces costly detentions. Minimize safety hazards, and passenger inconvenience. Coaches remain fit for service until they are due for maintenance, minimizing in- service failures. POH Shed (Coaching) at Chink-Hill (Old RPF Training Center ) Near Kurduwadi

21. Constraints:- Bidar-Solapur & vice versa trains require Engine/ BV reversal at Kalaburagi Justification: Kalaburagi is a very busy Railway junction of Solapur division of Central Railway. Handling three directional traffic makes the operations more complicated. Solapur – Taj-Sultanpur – Solapur & vice versa trains require loco reversal at Kalaburagi resulting in detention of Mail/Exp trains (30minutes) & Goods trains (2 hrs). To reduce the detention of trains at Kalaburagi junction, there is a need to construct a chord line connecting to Taj-Sultanpur and Bablad stations, bypassing Kalaburagi station. Benefits: The project if sanctioned will be contributing for the following points from operational point of view, Bidar-Solapur & Solapur-Bidar more trains can be handled. Bidar-CSMT-Bidar new train can be introduced. Avoid train detention at Kalaburagi. Increase average speed of Freight trains Improve wagon turn round Increase availability of wagons for loading Enhance safety in train operations, and Improve overall mobility of operation Chord Line from Taj-Sultanpur to Solapur connected at Bablad (Bidar-SUR-Bidar)

23. TIKEKARWADI-Coaching Maintenance Depot in Phase-I & II. Tikekarwadi- Proposed coaching maintenance depot- Phase-I, PH-16, sanctioned in 2025-26, Total cost of Rs. 46.26 Cr. Following works are proposed in Phase-I Existing UP loop line converted into UP & DN common line. Existing Ballast siding converted into DN reception cum UP departure line, Provision of Two stabling sidings of 750 m each Provision of Two Washing cum pit sidings with connectivity at Wadi end only. Tandem wheel lathe line. Alteration in EI panel for removal & placement. Tikekarwadi- Proposed coaching maintenance depot- Phase-II, Proposed in PH-16, 2025-26 for Total cost of Rs. 157.32 Cr. and sent to HQ. Following works are proposed in Phase-II All lines (Total 7 lines including Main lines) to be converted into common line for reception and dispatch. Provision of Four stabling lines with both end connectivity. Provision of One shunting necks of 750 m at Solapur end. Provision of Engine escape line. Provision of Two pit lines of 750 m (Pit 650 m) with both end connectivity with ACWM.
