Pelagic
In pelagic zones there are lots of animals. Many of them are
fish and some of them are mammals like whales and seals.
There are epipelagic (sunlit) mesopelagic (twilight),
bathypelagic (midnight), abyssopelagic (lower midnight) and
hadopelagic. Fish that lives in pelagic is called pelagic fish.
There are many organisms living in epipelagic where less than
200 meters like sharks, dolphins and planktons. Example in
mesopelagic (200 meters down to around 1000 meters) there
are organisms living in there like swordfishes and squids. At
about 500 m the water becomes deplete of oxygen but still
there is life in there.
Bathypelagic to hadopelagics: the ocean pitch is black and
there is no plant life. In bathypelagic’s depth is 1000meters to
around 4000meters. Most of the organisms in bathypelagic fell
out from above which means they are not strong enough to live
with stronger fishes so they move to the deeper place to be
safe. Example, there are giant squids and smaller squids.
Abyssopelagic means bottomless in Greek. There are very few
organisms in abyssopelagic like sea spiders. There is very high
pressure in abyssopelagic and complete darkness.
Abyssopelagic is 4000meters to seafloor. Hadopelagic means
underworld in Greek. This place is mostly unknown and very
few species live in here. Its depth is greater than 6000meters.
In pelagic zones, there are many kind of species and styles.
Some of them are violent like great white shark, some of them
are big like blue whale and some of them are small like
plankton. There are amazing fishes and mammals. There are
also scary-looking faces and weird faces. There are many
interesting an awesome animals in pelagic.
