Activity 1: Self – Concept Inventory Directions: Take a look at your own self – concept and answer the following self – concept inventory in a separate sheet of paper. Give yourself a rating using the scale: 0 = very weak; 2 = somewhat weak or somewhat strong’ 3 = strong; 4 = very strong _____ 1. I have strong sex appeal. _____ 2. SELF Self is the union of elements, namely: Body, thoughts, feelings or emotions, and sensations that constitute that individuality and identity of a person.
YOUR THOUGHTS Your thoughts, the way you think, and how you perceive things around you affect how you feel about them and bring about sensations.
EMOTIONS & SENSATIONS You experience prompt you to act and behave the way you do. The union of these elements make up your character or personality and essentially distinguishes you from others.
IDEAL SELF pertains to the image or aspirations of what you want to become. this may be similar in hoping characteristics that you do not possess as of the moment, but may be part of who you are.
ACTUAL SELF as the term implies “actual” is your present self that you see on the daily basis. it is the self that is constantly keeping in touch in your everyday experiences. has the potential to improve or develop as deemed by every individual.

WHY IS KNOWING YOURSELF SO IMPORTANT? Knowing and understanding yourself part would help you to make much better decisions, it will improve your decision making habits, in setting and reaching appropriate goals and altogether living more productivity and more. You can play many interesting personality tests and evaluations for self – discovery that can help you become more in tune to yourself.
ACTIVITY TIME: Instructions: On a sheet of bond paper, use crayons to draw symbols that would best illustrate your thoughts and feelings about who you are. You have to work silently and finish your tasks within 15 minutes. When time is called, choose a partner.

PERSONALITY is referred to as the set of behaviors, feelings, thoughts and motives that identifies an individual. an essence of who we are and is the embodiment of one’s physical, psychological, cognitive and affective and spiritual self. therefore, when we speak of the “SELF”, we will describe it in personality terms.
STRENGTHS knowing your strengths you will be more empowered to do developmental tasks equipped with skills essential in making wise decisions in life. more competent in achieving your goals. capacity to establish mature relationship with others, emotional independence and ability to demonstrate responsible behaviors analyze complex situations logically and sensibly.
