Robert Saba I did a paper a year ago for my English teacher about the farmers who
work and live in Immokalee. The assignment was to visit Immokalee and see how
the people live and struggle each day to make ends meats in order to persuade
companies to give them a penny more per pound. The assignment was three and
half pages long. While I was in Immokalee I found out a third of the families that
live there are below the poverty line. They talked about how they formed a coalition

However, it could also fall under open forms considering it expresses the problems
the farmers have in Immokalee and try to persuade people to participate together
to form different ideas and programs to help them have a better life. The option is
still left up to a person of whether they want to help the people in Immokalee or not.
The Immokalee paper did have a good interesting question of whether we would
allow this form of slavery to continue even though slavery is illegal. The purpose of
that paper was to convince people to help the Immokalee people earn more money
and a better education. The audience consists of teenagers, college students, and
adults who would join the cause to protest with them. I was writing a narrative
persuasive essay to give information about the Immokalee farmers and how others
need to help them in their fight. This chapter had me thinking about a problem first
before I began writing. It helped me to understand I need to have a specific group
to who I am writing to. I actually have to know why I am writing something instead
