INTRODUCTION Human life expectancy has been enhanced due to the advances in medicine. Even diseases that were thought to be incurable can now be treated effectively by one or more drugs. Medication adherence is a growing concern throughout the healthcare industry with doctors, healthcare systems, and insurance companies, since the elderly or senior patient’s medication has a big issue of drug misuse. INTRODUCTION In most cases patients have to take drugs one or more times a day and sometimes multiple drugs at a time, they forget to take the drug, or will be difficult for them to decide which drug should be taken for a particular time. Conclusion The SMB is designed to assist seniors in taking their medications on schedule and reducing medication errors. It notifies patients to take the appropriate dosage at the right time, which increases adherence to medication schedules. The SMB can be managed remotely through a touch interface that is accessible via a smartphone app, allowing users to manage pill schedules and track usage data.
