Think about how you use photos and other images
●News and documentary photos
○That people trust as a record of a moment

●Advertising and promotional content
○Staged and altered images are often OK

●Corporate communications
○What are your values?

Have a conversation in your organization

●Journalistic photographs must be fair and accurate
representations of what the photographer witnessed.
●Neither alterations to a photograph that mislead the public,
nor staging events while depicting them as spontaneous,
are acceptable in journalism.
●Don‘t publish a photorealistic synthetic image and pretend
that it is an actual photograph.
●Explain any exceptions to these principles transparently.
