A- Autotrophs Autotrophic organisms produce their food by themselves. They are two types 1-Photosynthesis 2- C hemosythesis
1- Photosynthesis Some organisms use the Sun’s energy to form energy or food this process called photosynthesis .
Green plants, some bacteria and blue green algae are examples to photosynthesis. Because they have cholorophyll pigment.
2- Chemosynthesis Some producers make energy-rich molecules through a process called chemosynthesis . These organisms are found near volcanic vents in the ocean floor. Inorganic molecules in the water provide the energy source for chemosynthesis .
2-Heterotrophs Heterotrophs cannot make their own food . They obtain energy by eating other organisms. In the body, energy is produced by catabolism of food by cellular respiration process.
