Lesson Objectives: Explain the concept of personal health, identify at least three factors that contribute to it, such as eating nutritious foods, getting enough sleep, and staying physically active. Discuss why active living is important for personal health.

What is Personal Hygiene? - Personal Health involves making intentional choices to take care of your well-being. It's not only about your physical health but also on your emotional, intellectual, social, economic, and spiritual well-being.

What is Personal Hygiene? - Personal Hygiene involves the habits and actions people do to stay clean and healthy. - These practices are important to stop illnesses from spreading, to stay healthy, and to feel confident. Personal hygiene covers things like taking care of your teeth, skin, hair, nails, and overall cleanliness.

According to World Health Organization (WHO) , regular physical activity is proven to help prevent and manage noncommunicable diseases such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes and several cancers. It also helps prevent hypertension, maintain healthy body weight and can improve mental health, quality of life and well-being.

WHO recommends: Children and adolescents aged 5-17 years: • Should do at least an average of 60 minutes per day of moderate-to-vigorous intensity, mostly aerobic, physical activity, across the week. • Should incorporate vigorous-intensity aerobic activities, as well as those that strengthen muscle and bone, at least 3 days a week. • Should limit the amount of time spent being sedentary, particularly the amount of recreational screen time.
