It was clearly stated that we need to attain fitness and wellness for a healthy life. For us to attain fitness and wellness we need to have healthy lifestyles.

8 dimensions of wellness PHYSICAL WELLNESS - it involves making a deliberate effort of the individual to be healthy by engaging in physical activities, eating well-balanced nutritious food ,getting enough sleep, and avoiding vices like smoking, drinking alcohol. EMOTIONAL WELLNESS – it refers to the individual capability to deal with his feelings and his responses in his daily communications with others. INTELLECTUAL WELLNESS – it refers to an individual capacity to apply and use what he has learned and use what he has learned and engage in activities that can enhance the mind. It must be a continuous commitment to a lifelong learning .
SOCIAL WELLNESS- concentrates on cultivating meaningful and valuable connections with family, friends, and different people in the community. it allows individuals to build relationships based on trust, respect, and genuine concern for others. SPIRITUAL WELLNESS – it allows individuals to reflect with themselves to find meaning and purpose in life. Individual beliefs, faith, values and principles provide direction in our lives and given us a sense of balance and inner peace. Spiritual wellness helps individuals endure obstacles, and keeps them resilient and ready to face challenges in life. ENVIRONMETAL WELLNESS – it is the capability of an individual to make connections with the things around them. Environmental awareness encourages, individuals to act and protect their surrounding, thus promotes respect and care for nature.
OCCUPATIONAL WELLNESS – it contributes to overall health. It covers all aspects of wellness concerning an individual’s self-satisfaction in his career. FINANCIAL WELLNESS – it is the capability of the individual to plan and manage his finances and expenses. It is found to be a common source of concern and anxiety of parents and students alike.
