2. 2 Corinthians 10:5 NKJV 5  casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

3. Luke 9:23-24 NKJV 23   Then He said to  them  all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross  daily , and follow Me .   24  For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.

Galatians 5:16-18 NKJV 16   I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.  17   For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish . 18   But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. .

5. Psalm 51:17 AMP 17  My [only] sacrifice [acceptable] to God is a broken spirit ; A broken and contrite heart [broken with sorrow for sin, thoroughly penitent], such, O God, You will not despise.

6. Romans 12:1 NKJV 12   I  beseech  you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice , holy, acceptable to God,  which is  your  reasonable service.   2  And  do not be conformed to this world , but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what  is  that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

7. Romans 13:14 NKJV 14   But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to  fulfill its  lusts. Romans 13:14 NLT 14   Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.

8. 1 Peter 4:1 NKJV 4   Therefore, since Christ suffered  for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind , for h e who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin , Romans 6:6-7 NKJV 6  knowing this, that our old man was crucified with  Him,  that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin .  7  For  he who has died has been freed from sin.

9. Galatians 5:22-25 NKJV 22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  23   gentleness , self-control. Against such there is no law.  24   And those  who are  Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires .   25  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

10. Romans 8:13 NKJV 13   For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. God does not view those walking in the flesh as dead but about to die spiritually. “Die” here is dying to God. It is not possible to have fellowship with God if we live according to the standards of the flesh

11. Galatians 2:20 NKJV 20   I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the  life  which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Ephesians 4:22-24 NKJV 22   that you put off , concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,  23   and be renewed in the spirit of your mind ,   24  and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
