The PMCM utilizes Aconex as part of the PMIS solution to combine and capture multiple data streams from multiple software solutions. At the execution of the Project Management goals, the Project Management team collects information generated from multiple software solutions into one database called Aconex. As per Sub-Clause 5.1 “Within 30 days from Effective Date, the Consultant shall establish a modern, IT and web based Project Management Construction Management System, in a format and content approved by LREDC”. Aconex is one component part of the PMCM PMIS solution. I t is NOT the PMIS. PMIS is used by Project teams to communicate with each other. Information is necessary for Lusail Plaza Towers Project Managers and Stakeholders to understand the situation of the project and make better and timely decisions. Without the right tools in disseminating information, it will be impossible to manage the project. The PMCM, LREDC and Foster and Partners use workflows, emails and Project mail to communicate with each other across varied Global locations. PMIS is the vehicle which plans, executes and closes Project Management goals. The PMCM PMIS solution supports all Project Management knowledge delivery areas such as: Integration Management, Project Scope Management, Project Time Management, Project Cost Management, Project Quality Management, Project Human Resource Management, Project Communications Management, Project Risk Management, Project Procurement Management, and Project Stakeholder Management through all key phases of work. At the execution of the Project Management goals, the Project Management team collects information into Aconex. The PMIS is used to support project delivery aims to accomplish key project activities and deliverables.

Then, it is used to create a final report of the project closeout status. To conclude, the project management information system (PMIS) is used to plan, control and distribute data from various project data resources generated through conceptual design to project close out and beyond.
Aconex – is not PMIS but it is a key component Aconex binds key Project Generated data into a single storage and distribution solution.
PMCM have developed, implemented and manage a fully integrated system PMIS – A fully integrated System that delivers PMCM have realized the following achievements which are now operational Document content search (testing) Search the content of your documents to find what you’re looking for. We can include the content of documents when we search the document register. We can search the content of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and rich PDF documents up to 50Mb in size. This is a huge time saving benefit . BIM models activation Models is a dedicated space for collaborative BIM model management in Aconex. The BIM and model management tool provides a true common data environment to simplify the BIM process. It provides cross-discipline collaboration, with interoperability with other systems. Global Collaboration Ready Lusail Plaza Towers project is executed across multiple locations and with extremely aggressive schedules. The ability for the whole team to be working with real time data is key to making timely engineering decisions, thus affording massive project benefits. Global Workflow Review and Status Award PMCM USES workflows to ensure that everyone involved in the project can keep track of review tasks and easily communicate with remote review teams on their progress in real time. All contractual document and drawing review processes will be undertaken using workflow collaboration this includes contractors and their vendors. Thus avoiding costly delays.
PMCM have developed, implemented and managed a fully integrated system PMIS – A fully integrated System that delivers PMCM have realized the following achievements which are now operational Aconex Tender Module Access The Project is now effectively and efficiently utilizing the Tender Module resulting in expediting the bidding process and affording 100% auditability on a secure access rights platform. Geo Spatial data relationship requirements When retrieved, the documents associated with particular project features or areas are organized and displayed by categories that are applied when the document is created. Common category names would include Drawings, Reports, Invoices, Contracts, etc., but the possibilities are endless based on the specific needs of the Lusail Plaza delivery teams. Note: The image opposite details the Integration of multiple software packages and reporting tools into a single reporting environment as developed and built by the PMCM.
Critical Data
Key Metadata Sources used to support the PMIS solution Metadata Common software: Microsoft Windows (7 or 10) with enterprise license as an operating system Microsoft Office Suite Professional (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Adobe Acrobat Professional WinRAR to compress and Unzip the compressed files Specialties Software: Autodesk Architecture Suite ( AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks) Primavera P6 Microsoft Project Microsoft Visio Office timeline Note: metadata indicates how compound objects are put together, for example, how pages are ordered to form chapters. It describes the types, versions, relationships and other characteristics of digital materials. Within a PMIS environment we would describe metadata as fields created and associated with different types of software outputs. It is these metadata fields that Document Controllers will use when tagging records, report and documents etc. they are adding or checking into the software system. For example we may define the 'Contract' document type to have 'Contract Number' and ‘originator Name' metadata fields associated with it. When users add a document to the Aconex library they will be prompted to select the document type they are adding. As an example If they select 'Contract' they will be prompted to tag the document by adding values for the Contract Number and originator name metadata field.
Forward Activities and Actions
Collaborative Practices Established Establishing collaborative practices is of particular importance on building design and construction projects such as Lusail Plaza Towers as they involve bringing together a large number of diverse disciplines, many of which will not have worked together before. The co-ordination and integration of complex information, procedures and systems. Collaborative PMIS will be used to plan, coordinate, control, monitor and distribute complex project data. It enables Lusail Plaza project teams to collaborate across departmental, corporate, and national boundaries and to control growing project complexity. Everybody in the project has access to the information in the project such as tasks, messages, reports and documents etc. This information is updated in real-time when changes occur.
Information Management LBQPM JV PMC Pre-Construction Phase LBQPM JV manage Design Issues, Constructability Issues, Long lead material Issues, Inter Contractor Coordination Issues, Engineering Issues, Safety Issues, Contractual Issues, Cost Issues, Planning and Programming Issues through Aconex. The management of data related to these functions includes the use of various types of software tools to produce reports and dashboards related to planning, cost, scheduling and project progress review etc. The use of Aconex to capture these various data outputs into a single shared environment is underway and will continue to expand as the project progresses from Design phase through to Project closeout. PMCM Agreement - Sub-Clause 5.2 stipulates During each of the stages under Article (2) ( Pre-Design, Design , Procurement and Construction Stages ) The Consultant shall provide LREDC with a monthly Dashboard in an approved format and content including a cost section to be provided by LREDC, showing the vital elements of the projects overall view of progress : PMCM PMIS Design phase functionality, includes: Design collaboration BIM model sharing and review Design milestone review management Stake holder invoice tracking (not linked to cost module in this phase)
Information Management Construction Phase PMIS PMCM Development: Contractors: The PMCM will ensure all contractors will collaborate within PMIS environment. Sub-Clause 5.6 requires Construction Contractors to be included in the PMIS. Upon award of the Design and Build Construction Package/s, the Contractor/s will have specific access permissions allocated to allow them to submit critical project documents for review and approval to deliver the following (the list is not exhaustive): To manage scope change, and processes such as RFIs, and their subcontractors deliverables. To connect construction delivery teams on site to their home office support teams. Collect and share reporting data living in a variety of systems or in hard copy formats into shared collaboration environment i.e. P6, Scheduling Tools and others . Give visibility into project communications and project delivery progress.
Information Management Construction Phase PMIS PMCM Development: Ensure process and system standardization across the Lusail Towers project. This is especially critical if one contractor(s) is involved in multiple, Towers. Sub-Clause 5.3 calls for a worldwide interactive use for LREDC, the Consultant, designers and any other 3rd party nominated by LREDC to be included in the system; PMIS is available worldwide and all project stakeholders have access and hold various access permissions, dependent on their status in the project or individual status in a permitted organization PMC PMIS Construction phase functionality, includes: Management and distribution of Requests for Information (RFIs) Management and distribution of Construction submittals Management and distribution of Bulletins/ASIs Management and distribution of Punch lists, QA/QC logs, safety Potential change order and change order tracking (not linked to cost module in this phase) Contractor Pay application tracking (not linked to cost module in this phase) Worldwide interactive use for LREDC, the Consultant, designers and any other 3rd party nominated by LREDC are included in the PMIS system
