POULTRY HOUSING STANDARDS

HOUSING STRUCTURE: OPEN SIDED.
❑Orientation: East to west.
❑Width: 10m maximum (standardised with regards to adequate
ventilation/temperature management of the house). Solid all
the way to the roof. You do not increase width beyond 10m to
increase capacity of the house.
❑Length: No limit. Depends on capacity of the house/number of
birds to be kept. Should have a brick wall at the bottom (of
height 30-50cm). The rest of the wall is completed by mesh wire.
❑Sidewall height: 2.7m.
