Discussion Family support for DM patients in implementing the DM management pillars is poor (53.9%-74%) The research results show that family knowledge and support for implementing the DM pillars is poor, requiring further intervention to increase support for DM management. The management of glucose levels in cases of Diabetes Mellitus can be considered successful if supported by the active participation of patients, families, and the community; therefore, comprehensive knowledge among family members is essential.

Discussion Family Support The most important element in helping family members solve problems is to enhance self-confidence and motivation. Family members view a supportive family as ready to provide assistance and help. Khairani (2014) states that emotional support enhances emotional closeness, leading patients to feel calm, safe, and comfortable, resulting in a calm and happy demeanor .

Discussion Family Support Sources of support for diabetes patients: Partners, family, close friends, and relatives. Perkeni (2021)The key to successful implementation of diabetes management pillars is the comprehensive involvement of team members including: Doctors, Nutritionists, Health workers, and Family members
