3. The dorsal side of scoliodon is dark-grey while the under-side is pale white. The body surface is rough due to backwardly directed spines of placoid scales embedded in the dermis. It has two prominent circular eyes. The teeth of scoliodon are modified scales. STRUCTURE & CHARACTERS OF SCOLIODON
