Project to work on Benefits of such a system: Eliminating the need for sututres or biological glues to fix the patch Reducing the time of surgery Transporting the secretome of the engineered tissue to the scar via microneedles Possibility to simultaneously delivering pharmaceuticals embedded in the needles Direct contribution of contractile cardiomyocytes to improve the heart function Stabilizing the scar tissue by mechanically supporting the ventricular wall
