The Powerpuff Girls is an American TV series created by animator Craig Mccracken and produced by Cartoon Network Studios. PPG is a story about three little girls who were created in a lab by their father-figure Professor Utonium and have super powers. Using their ultra-super powers; Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup have dedicated their lives to fighting crime and the forces of evil.

Concept Art When the 2014 special was in production, concept artist and animator Kevin Dart was hired for Concept Art.
Character Design Craig McCracken started drawing at the age of three, but needed help from his father to draw on paper what his ideas were. From an early age, McCracken was interested in drawing super heroes. At the age of twelve, Craig decided that he was going to make a comic book and create his own characters.

Originally, the show was named ‘ Whoopass Stew’, but Cartoon Network asked for a change to the name as it was deemed inappropriate .
Character Design Bubbles is the blonde, pig-tailed sister. She is very sensitive and adorable and likes to colour in drawings. Out of the three girls, Bubbles is the baby. In her design, her pig tails are curved and non pointy to portray that she is the gentle one. Bubbles is voiced by Tara Strong.

In her design, Buttercup is shown to be the aggressive tomboy- ish one through the sharpness of her short black bob with more angles. Buttercup is voiced by E.G. Daily.
Character Design When thinking about creating villains, McCracken created a scale to work out just how evil (or not so evil) the character was. The scale consisted of: Super Evil, Middle and Dumb . Super Evil: ‘Him’ A devil-like creature with lobster claws. Middle Scale : Mojo Jojo An Evil Monkey who wants to rule the world. Middle Scale: The Gangreen Gang A gang of hoodlums who make trouble. Dumb: The Amoeba Boys The dumbest of villains, Classic thugs , gangster style and full of bacteria
