2. SUMMARY
Council included funds for area beautification
improvements in FY 2024 Budget
Council originally approved landscape design
improvement funding in April 2024 for the
intersection at Broadway & Ogden Lane
Proposed additional agreement with TBG Partners
(TBG) for professional landscape architectural design
services requested by City Council at the July 18
th
,
2024 budget workshop

3. BACKGROUND
TBG led Council workshops in August & October 2023 & June
and July 2024 on potential beautification projects, including
improvements in Alamo Heights Pool area and to the
intersection at Broadway & Ogden
Additional Service Request #01 to provide expanded scope
requested by City Council not included in the original
executed agreement for Broadway & Ogden improvements

4. BROADWAY & OGDEN LANE IMPROVEMENTS
Realigned intersection
Wider sidewalk zones,
patio/plaza spaces &
landscaped planting
zones
Pedestrian-focused with
mid-block crossing,
pavements & lighting

5. POLICY ANALYSIS
Consistent with City practice to negotiate fees for
professional services and to have professional
expertise to articulate & incorporate City
priorities in various city projects

Resolution to authorize City Manager to approve Additional
Service Request #01 totaling $29,000.00 to TBG for
additional landscape architectural design services for
Broadway & Ogden Lane project

Future Council action required to authorize construction
contract(s)
