Health care organization Introudution : An organisation is the arrangement of personnel for facilitating the accomplishment of some agreed upon purposes through the allocation of functions and responsibilities. it is defined as a structure of a group of people with a leader working together towards a specific goal for the purposes of achiving health goals.

These are the polital appointments and have dual role to serve both resposibilities for health.

The department of health The department of health deals with planning, co-ordination, programming, evaluation of medical and public, health matters, including drug control and prevention of food adulteration. It is headed by the secretary health,to the government of india in the union ministry of health and family welfare. He will support 3 additional secretaries,a joint secretaries,deputy secretaries&other staff as per hierarchy.
The department of family welfare It deals with family welfare matters.the department is headed by secretary[ fw ] to the govt.of india,union ministry of health &family welfare,who is supported&assisted by a team of 2joint secretaries,2 chief directors,number of deputy secretaries,deputy commissioners,directors and other technical & administrtive officers in hierarchy. The secretary [ fw ]with the support of team members,plans co- ordinates,evaluates&supervises .

Central council of health A large number of health subjects fall in the concurrent list which calls for continuous concurrent list which calls for continuous consultation,mutual understanding & cooperation between the centre &the states. It was set up by a presidential order on 9 august,1952 under article 263 of the constitution of india for promoting coordinated &concerted actions between the centre & states.
AT THE STATE LEVEL Historically, the first milestone in state health administration was the year 1919, when the states obtained autonomy, under the montague-chemsforn reforms, from the central government, in matterns of public health. By 1921-22, all the states had created some form of public health organization.
The government of india act,1935 gave further autonomy to the states. The health subjects were divide into 3 groups. FEDERAL CONCURRENT STATE
