1. CLASS – III PRESENTATION ON NEIGHBOURHOOD SERVICES

2. A Friendly Neighbourhood Sameera and Fatima live near each others house. They go to school together in a van and play together in the nearby park everyday. They celebrate Diwali, Eid and other festivals together. Thus, Sameera and Fatima are not just friends , they are neighbours also . People who live near to our house are called neighbours and the area our house is called neighbourhood.

3. One day Sameera and Fatima were playing in the park in neighbourhood. When Sameera goes back to home she observes that her mother is not feeling well. She thinks that what she can do for her mother and takes her mother to nearby hospital .

4. In hospital doctors treat her mother and prescribed some medicines for her mother. She goes to Dispensary and purchase medicines. Dispensary is a place where we go to take medicines .

5. Sameera wants to tell about her mother’s health to her father who works in an another city at a place where phones are not allowed due to security purpose. So, she writes a letter and goes to post office to post it. A  post office   is a public facility that provides mail services, such as accepting letters and parcels, providing post office boxes etc.

6. While returning to hospital she starts feeling hungry. So, she goes to nearby market and purchase some eatables for her and juice for her mother and comes back to hospital. A Market is a place from where people can buy things of daily needs like fruits, vegetables, milk, bread etc.

7. Next morning, Sameera’s mother feels well and doctor says to her home back. Before getting discharge from hospital Sameera has to pay hospital bills and she needs money. So, her mother tells her to go nearby bank to take out the required money from their savings account. Bank is a place where we can keep our money safe and take it out at the time of need . Sameera does the same as her mother said. They pay the hospital bills and comes back to home. Sameera takes care of her mother very well and they again start enjoying their life.

11. Neighbourhood Services Neighbourhood services means the services which help people living around like hospital, school, market, post office, bank etc.

12. Clean Neighbourhood We must keep our neighbourhood clean. We can all help by Throwing rubbish in dustbin and not on the streets. Plant more trees in our neighbourhood. Avoid using plastic bags .

13. Good neighbours help each other in the times of need. They take care of each other and live like a family. We can all be good neighbours by helping each other and sharing the joys and sorrows together.

14. RECAPITULATION :- People who live near our house are our neighbours . Families living in nearby houses form our neighbourhood. Every neighbourhood has some services or facilities. These services are a market, hospital or dispensary, police station etc. Good neighbours help each other. We must keep our neighbourhood clean .
