Findings Conclusions Recommendations The study revealed that on the profile of privately-owned birthing centers in Butuan City mostly managed by a midwife, personnel are midwife, and have a partner pediatrician and obstetrician. Most of the birthing centers are in 4-6 and 10 years above of its operation with an average monthly delivery of 11-20 and 31-40. Birthing centers in Butuan City are managed and staffed by midwives considering that their expertise are on the care of mother and child where they are trained and developed competency on this aspect. Also, the birthing centers met the requirement set by the Department of Health that there should be partner Obstetrician and Pediatrician. Birth Center Owners should continue to follow the requirements set by DOH and PhilHealth in order to achieve the quality of service to their clients noting that mothers are particular of who are their partners, owner of the facility and their years of operation.
