3. I. What is Comprehensive Health Ministry? Comprehensive Health Ministry is a wholistic approach to health care that addresses the body, mind, and spirit, bringing healing and restoration in alignment with God's will. It is not limited to just treating physical illness but extends to nurturing emotional well-being and spiritual growth. This aligns with the Bible’s wholistic view of health, as well as the teachings of Spirit of Prophecy.

4. HARVEST 2025 , the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s evangelistic initiative, focuses on reaching every person with the message of the gospel by 2025. One of the key pillars of this program is total health, which includes spiritual, social, mental, and physical well-being. By integrating Comprehensive Health Ministry into the HARVEST 2025 vision , we can create a more effective and compassionate approach to evangelism.

6. The Purpose Of Medical Missionary Work 1. To Pioneer “Medical missionary work is the pioneer work of the gospel. In the ministry of the word and in the medical missionary work the gospel is to be preached and practiced.” —“Ministry of Healing.” Page 144:3 .

7. 2. To Prepare “He designs that the medical missionary work shall prepare the way for the presentation of the saving truth for this time, the proclamation of the third angel’s message. If this design is met, the message will not be eclipsed nor its progress hindered.” — “Testimonies,” Vol. 6, page 293:1.

8. 3 . A Great Entering Wedge I can see in the Lord’s providence that the medical missionary work is to be a great entering wedge, whereby the diseased soul may be reached.” — “ Counsels on Health,” page 535:2 .

9. 4. To Gain Access to Hearts “Do medical missionary work. Thus you will gain access to the hearts of the people. The way will be prepared for more decided proclamation of the truth.” —“Evangelism,” page 514:1

10. 5. To Illustrate “Medical missionary work is in no case to be divorced from the gospel ministry. The Lord has specified that the two shall be as closely connected as the arm is with the body. Without this union neither part of the work is complete. The medical missionary work is the gospel in illustration.” —“Testimonies,” Vol. 6, pages 240, 241.

11. “It is the first duty of every human being to keep the body in a condition of health, so that the mind and spirit can be in a state of perfect harmony.” (Ministry of Healing, p. 128)

12. HARVEST 2025 and Comprehensive Health Ministry A Call to Action

13. Health Evangelism Events : Organize health fairs , cooking classes , stress management workshops , and health seminars to serve the community. These events create opportunities for people to receive both practical health advice and spiritual guidance.

14. 2 . Community Health Clinics : Offer free health screenings and medical assistance , integrated with Bible studies and prayer sessions . These clinics can be places where people experience Christ’s healing touch both physically and spiritually.

15. 3. Mental Health Support : In light of the growing mental health crisis, provide support through counseling , prayer , and stress relief programs . This aligns with the wholistic health focus of HARVEST 2025, helping individuals find peace and healing in Christ.

16. 4. Spiritual Integration: As you care for people’s physical health, always integrate spiritual teachings . Use health ministry as an entry point for Bible studies, prayer groups, and ultimately, baptism.

17. “I wish to tell you that soon there will be no work done in ministerial lines but medical missionary work. The work of a minister is to minister. Our ministers are to work on the gospel plan of ministering. . . You will never be ministers after the gospel order till you show a decided interest in medical missionary work, the gospel of healing and blessing and strengthening. CH 533 .
