What is Bedmaking Bed making is an important nursing technique used to prepare various types of beds for patients or clients to ensure comfort and certain lying positions indicated based on their condition The bed is especially important for patients who are sick. The care assistant plays an important role to ensure comfort and cleanliness for an ill patient.

4. Purpose of Bedmaking Bed-making is an art. The procedure should be centered on patient or client-centered care, and should include preventing complications by ensuring comfort and security to the patient. The following is a list of purposes: To facilitate rest and sleep. To provide physical and psychological comfort and security to the patient. To give the unit a neat appearance. To provide active and passive exercise to the patient. To promote freshness and cleanliness.

Preventing complications of prolonged bedridden status such as pressure sores (bed sores, decubitus ulcers, pressure ulcers) Soiled linen or linen whether clean or dirty should not be thrown on the floor, but it should be kept in a designated linen hamper or receptacle (clean and soiled linen stored separately) After cleaning the bed, dump soap water/disinfecting solution properly.
