Present each advert with an intro

Introduction: Over the course of this college year. We have been given the task to create 3 ideas/ themes, develop one of them into: a Radio advert, Print advert and a storyboard for a TV advert. We also allowed features of our researched adverts, Evian’s “Live Young” campaign and Lucozade’s “Energy Beats Everything” campaign; to influence our final products. All this would have a target audience of teenagers to early 30s, and was going to be created for the company Coco Ltd in time for this year’s summer. I have successfully accomplished all of this and more.

The ideas being born: After researching Evian’s “Live Young” campaign and Lucozade’s “Energy Beats Everything” campaign. I created 3 ideas which could be taken in the forms of a Print, Radio and TV advert. My 3 ideas were quite different, but all served the same goal: to sell Vesi water as a naturally created drink with health benefits like having natural electrolytes and being able to naturally re balance and rehydrate your body, etc. My 3 ideas: - idea 1 “Floating around”: this advert was about the journey a bottle of unopened Vesi water from Finland to people at the beach, intime for summer. With the song “Happy Together” by The Turtles in the background - idea 2 “Gamer”: this advert was about a gamer who was getting quite emotional because he was losing his video game, so he drinks a new bottle of Vesi water to calm down. When he gets back to playing his game he starts winning - idea 3 “Running to Finland”: this advert was about a woman know is about to start her daily run. She drinks a unopened bottle of Vesi water before she starts running. She ends up in somewhere in Finland because of how much natural energy Vesi gave her from one bottle.

My chosen idea: After creating these initial ideas. I then needed to chose one of these ideas to then fully develop into a Radio, Print and storyboard of a TV advert. I decided to chosen Idea 2 because of its low expenses to make and that I knew of plenty of areas to shoot/ record the content. Compared to the other ideas, which are unrealistic because I would need to shoot in a snowy area/ Finland or use a lot of CGI, both are expensive and require a lot of time to create, which I didn’t have because I needed to have the final products in time for this years summer.

Storyboard of TV advert: As you know part of the brief was to create a storyboard for the TV advert of my developed idea. Here is the story board below on the next slide, which includes scene, shot, props and description of character ….

Radio advert The next thing we had to produce was a Radio advert for my chosen idea. This had to be obviously 30 seconds long and allowed us to use sound effects and voices allow listeners to clearly piece together what the Radio advert was about and wanted to buy the product without even looking at what the product looks like just having other key pieces of information like the product name. Print advert The final part of the brief was to create a print advert for my chosen idea. This gave us the challenge of trying to get everything we wanted to say with our idea all into one image. One the next slide is the final product for the print advert…
