3. When to use Present Progressive Tense of the Verb?

4. We use the PRESENT PROGRESSIVE TENSE of the verb when the action is happening now or the action is ongoing .

5. How to form the present progressive tense of the verb?

6. To form the PRESENT PROGRESSIVE TENSE of the verb, add – ing at the end of the verb .

7. Example: carry + - ing = carrying eat + - ing = eating cook + - ing = cooking listen + - ing = listening

8. For verbs ending with –e, drop the –e and replace it with – ing .

9. Example: bake + - ing = baking write + - ing = writing love + - ing = loving

10. If the last syllable of the verb is made up of a CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) , double the last letter then add – ing .
