INTRODUCTION
Economics is the study of how societies use scarce resources to produce
valuable commodities and distribute them among different people.
•Reforms in an economy must continue to ensure continuous
development of the country and welfare of its people.
•Only by reforms India can overcome their basic issues like Poverty,
Unemployment, Inequalities, Infrastructure & Connectivity.
•Indian government has taken many steps to improve situation like-GST,
Demonetisation, Easy Credit facilities, Skill Development of Labourand
so on.Sample
HOW INDIA HAS EVOLVED SINCE INDEPENDENCESample
OBJECTIVES
•To identify the issues associated with Indian economy
•To describe the recent actions taken by Indian government towards
economic reforms
•To analyse the effects on Indian economy due to these reforms
•To study the changed perception of foreign Investors towards Indian
market
•To identify further measures that can be adopted to further improve the

LITERATURE REVIEW
•From last some years many reforms were initiated such as 100% FDI in
more than 90% sectors, GST, Single window permissions, Liberalised
licensing policies, Easy credit policies to support MSME Sector and so on.
•Due to these reforms India got 77th rank in Ease of Doing Business
report 2018 released by World Bank, Moody’s upgraded India’s
Sovereign Credit Rating in 2017. UN, IMF, World Economic Forum, World
Bank has predicted India to remain the world’s fastest growing economy
in coming years also with a GDP growth of around 7.5%.
•Increasing Digitisationleading to more Transparency and Accountability
of Administration. This is ultimately helping to reduce Corruption and
increasing work efficiency.Sample
•Some Challenges like-Fiscal Deficit (3.2%) can be addressed by reducing
expenditure of government and by widening the tax base.
Unemployment, Poverty can be addressed by promoting MSME’s,
building Infrastructure, increasing Connectivity.
•Land Acquisitions, Environmental clearances are still a concern for
further development. Change in government policies about
rehabilitation, resettlement of displaced people is the need of the hour.
•Climate change has become one of the biggest concerns today.
Renewable energy must be promoted more and more to address it.Sample

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research Design:
‘Exploratory’ and ‘Descriptive’ both research designs used in this report.
Study Area:
The study is limited to research and analysis of Indian economy.
Necessary data of different foreign institutions (IMF, World Bank, UNO),
news updates from newspapers, magazines and regular published
editorials from various writers were analysed.Sample
Data Collection:
•Secondary data collection is used. Data taken from Journals, Articles,
Newspapers, Magazines, Websites, Official sources of government and
international institutions etc.
Analytical Tools:
•Authentic sources or websites were used to confirm data of various
financial institutions & of government of India. Tried to feed in all the

CONCLUSION
There is no doubt that the Indian economy recorded plenty of
achievements over the last 27 years (Since 1991). India is now
the fastest growing major economy in the world, with a growth
rate of 7.1 percent in 2017-18. India is projected to be the
second largest economy in the world by 2050. It is obvious for a
developing country like India to have challenges but with time
these will also get addressed.Sample
