Carnivores
The word carnivore is derived from Latin and literally means “meat eater.” A carnivore is an animal that feeds on other animals. Carnivores come in many shapes in sizes, but they often have some similarities. Most carnivores have relatively large brains and high levels of intelligence. They also have less complicated digestive systems than herbivores. The world's largest animal is also the world's largest carnivore. What are carnivores?
Where they live? The Carnivores live in many kinds of Habitats, including forests, deserts, mountains, grasslands, scrublands, tundra, and open ice. They also live in aquatic habitats, such as freshwater rivers, lakes, marshes, marine coastal areas, and the open ocean. Carnivores are one of the most diverse groups of mammals and can be found on every continent
What kind of animals carnivores eat? A large carnivore might hunt down large herbivores such as elk and deer. Medium-sized carnivores include hawks and snakes, and these animals typically feed on rodents, birds, eggs, frogs, and insects. Examples of small carnivores include some smaller birds and toads. These carnivores may eat insects and worms.
