Akij Group was established by Mr.Sheikh Akij Uddin in
1950 and now it is one of the biggest companies in
Bangladesh.
Akij BIRI Factory Ltd is the first company of Akij Group
and which produce “Hand Made Cigarettes”.

Now The group has various type of company and
various type of product all most all sector of our
country.
This Group create job opportunities for more than 32,000
people in various categories.
Akij Group is also involved in socio-cultural activities
and has been operating some non profitable Concerns for
societies welfare.

History of Akij Group stretches back to later part of the forties.
The founder late Mr.Sheikh Akij Uddin realized to do something
for this country is to do for its people.He made a sense how to
develop & customize whatever growers are grown likeTobacco,

The factory is situated at Torraghat in Manikgonj District
on the bank of the river Kaliganga

standard Particle board to meet the demand of Architect,
Interior Designers & Furniture Manufacturers in the
country.

APPL is one of the biggest printing & packages in
Bangladesh.
