Variety is a specific set of “linguistic items” or human speech patterns which we can connect with some external factors apparently , a geographical area or social group. Variety:

British English is the term used to describe all tha varieties of English that exist in the United Kingdom. American English is the name given to the set of English varieties that exist across North America. Since USA and Canada have seen people from all over arriving on its shores from Irish immigrants to enslaved Africans bringing with them their own languages; these have undoubtedly influenced the Standard American English as we know it today. South Asian English (sometimes called Indian English) is an umbrella term for the varieties of English used in countries across South Asia including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh etc.

A popular variety of South Asian English is “ Hinglish ” ( A mix of Hindi and English). Some examples are: Prepone : to bring a meeting Heropanti : acting overly smart Jungli : wild Boss: Friend or buddy Thug life: a life someone is enjoying a lot.

Australian English is a regional dialect of English. A dialect is a variety of a language that has characteristics of vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation that are different from other varieties. Australian English can be described as a regional dialect of English because it is spoken by people in Australia, a particular geographical location. Australian English is most similar to British English including spellings, pronunciation and sentence construction .

South African English is the set of English language dialects native to South Africans. South African English is defined by its pronunciation as well as its vocabulary. It is similar to British English in terms of grammar and spellings; however there are some differences. For example: South Africans tend to pronounce “ th ” a “f” or drop it all together like “ fank you” instead of “thank you”.
