2. Basic Information Born in Varanasi on 1877 His father was Vishwanatha Sen He was disciple of Gangadhar Rao Scholar of Sanskrit, Ayurveda & Medicine

4. He was founder of VISHWANATHA AYURVEDA VIDYALAYA , KOLKATA IN 1932 Principle and dean of BHU IN 1935 He estd KALPATARU AYURVEDIC PHARMACY He was honored by Govt of India with title of ‘ MAHAMAHOPADHYAYA’ Honored by SARASWATI VIDYASAGAR PRANACHARYA AYURVEDACHASPATHY ‘

5. Works :- He worked on REVERSE PHARMOCLOGY of medicinal plants He used to diagnose based on modern diagnostics and treatment acc. to ayurvedic principles

6. He presented an article on HINDU MEDICINE In 1921 h e started clinical research at the JB Roy Clg Kolkata on preparing injectables , aerosol and rectal preparations from the medicinal plants .
