Learning Outcome After completing an internship of two months in a distribution company of electricity, I had gain several valuable learning outcomes. Here are some potential learning outcomes: Knowledge of Power Distribution Systems: acquired a deep understanding of the power distribution infrastructure, including transformers, power lines, substations, and distribution networks. learn about the components and their functions, as well as how electricity is transmitted and distributed to end-users. Understanding of Electrical Regulations and Safety Standards: Working in the electricity distribution industry that enhanced my knowledge to various regulations and safety standards that govern the sector. learn about codes and standards related to electrical safety, equipment maintenance, and operational procedures to ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment. Familiarity with Network Operations: gain hands-on experience with network operations, including monitoring, controlling, and maintaining the electricity distribution network. This may involve activities such as load balancing, fault identification and troubleshooting, outage management, and restoration procedures. Faults and their Rectification process: Breakdown & Cable Jointing Failure Analysis Straight transition joints between Paper Insulated Cable (PILCA) and Cross Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) cable Straight through joints between XLPE and XLPE (or Polyvinyle chloride) Cables
About 5S Audit 5S is a workplace organization methodology that originated in Japan and is widely used in various industries around the world. The term "5S" refers to five Japanese words that describe the steps involved in implementing and maintaining an organized and efficient workplace. Here are the five steps of 5S: Sort ( Seiri ): This step involves sorting and removing unnecessary items from the workplace. Set in Order ( Seiton ): Once unnecessary items have been removed, the next step is to arrange and organize the remaining items in a systematic manner. Shine ( Seiso ): This step focuses on cleanliness and maintenance. Standardize ( Seiketsu ): Standardization involves establishing clear and consistent procedures, guidelines, and visual controls to sustain the gains achieved through the first three steps. Sustain ( Shitsuke ): The final step of 5S is to sustain the improvements over the long term. It involves developing a culture of continuous improvement and discipline within the organization. By implementing the 5S methodology, organizations can achieve a more efficient, organized, and productive workplace. It promotes safety, reduces waste, improves quality, and fosters a sense of ownership and pride among employees
Statement of Enhancement of Knowledge before and after training: Before the internship , my knowledge of the distribution company of electricity was primarily theoretical. I had studied concepts related to power distribution systems, electrical regulations, and safety standards in academic courses. I had a basic understanding of the infrastructure components involved, such as transformers, power lines, and substations. After completing two months of my internship in a distribution company of electricity, my knowledge and understanding of the industry have significantly enhanced. Through hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of the distribution company, I have gained valuable insights and practical knowledge. Here are the key areas of enhancement: Secondry distribution layout Various operation and Maintenance of equipments like DTR,ACB,RMU Trouble shooting using various method like FLC,HIGH POT Monitoring , Protectionand controlling various equipment from SCADA Centre
