The Philippines is home to numerous indigenous groups with distinct cultures, languages, and traditions. These indigenous peoples are collectively referred to as “ Katutubong Pilipino” or Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICCs) and are recognized by the Philippine Constitution. Heres a major Indigenous group:
RACE
White can signify bones, purity, and ceremonial markings. These colours are not just aesthetic choices; they carry stories, spiritual meanings, and connections to the land and ancestral traditions.
Black. According to the Cherokee shamans, Black represents both the west and the spirit of death.
Native Filipino considered brown a symbol of animals and death. But in their languages, the word Brown did not have a specific meaning and they used it more for skin color.
