It e ncompasses the record of humankind from prehistory to the present, examining events and civilizations across the globe. It's a field that studies how societies, cultures, and nations have interacted and developed over time, considering both global trends and regional differences. Key themes in world history include  political  and  economic developments ,  cultural exchange , and  social transformations . 

Key Aspects of World History: Global Perspective: World history analyzes historical events from a global perspective, emphasizing connections and interactions between different parts of the world.  Cross-Cultural Comparisons: It compares and contrasts the development of various societies and cultures, highlighting similarities and differences in their historical trajectories.  Long-Term Trends: World history examines long-term trends and developments, such as the rise and fall of empires, the spread of ideas and technologies, and the impact of globalization.  Thematic Approaches: World historians often use thematic approaches, focusing on specific issues like  trade ,  religion , or  migration  to explore how these factors have shaped human history.  Multiple Perspectives: It encourages considering different perspectives on historical events, including those of marginalized groups and communities.
