Introduction: The elderly population in India is one of the fastest-growing in the world. India is considered as the second-largest global population of ageing citizens. Over 77 Million old age people. It is expected that the present number will further increase by 2050. Nevertheless, India lacks the basic infrastructure and expertise to support the health and welfare of the elderly.

Physical Health It’s no secret that with age, health-related risks increase drastically. However, there are certain conditions that are more commonly found in the elderly than the young. Some Diseases are : Heart Diseases Diabetes Dehydration Arthritis Chronic Constipation, etc

Living a Healthy Life is Possible Even in Old Age… No one is immune to health problems. However, watching your food and lifestyle alone can go a long way in keep most of these problems away . For specific conditions, the information given can be of great help. So, take care, stay healthy.

Mental Health Mental health problems are common among seniors and may include isolation, affective and anxiety disorders, dementia, and psychosis, among others. Some Key facts are : At least one in four older adults experiences some mental disorder. Expected to double by 2030. Depression is the most common mental health problem in older people. People aged 85 and older have the highest suicide rate of any age group. Two-thirds of seniors with mental health problems do not get the treatment they need. Extremely limited treatment.
