The colour scheme is representative of the GB flag. The text also looks worn and rough, similar to their clothes which shows class and status. Three award laurels placed on the poster to demonstrate the success and quality of the film. Small font used for credits and they are placed low down so they do not distract attention from the poster. Grey, dull, concrete pavement is iconic of suburban parts of England. Positive comments about the film from known sources. Tower blocks – showing line and is iconic of London, represent lower class living standards Directors name written in informal font to represent the academics of the characters. Film slogan/catchphrase written smaller than the title but larger than credits. The year is also included to provide the historical context The main characters are all included in the poster. Their costume (representative of the 80s) and other mise - en -scene elements tell the audience some information about class and status as well as regional identity. The men all have shaved heads to reflect the ‘skinhead’ phase of the time.
