// Expand your markets
through open innovation |
Prof. Solomon Darwin, Director, Center
for corporate innovation @UC Berkley-
Haas School of Business
“The world’s largest untapped market, yet undiscovered, is ripe for
harvest offering an immense opportunity for large firms and star-
tups to build scalable and sustainable business models while sol-
ving socio-economic problems worldwide. This untapped market
is unsaturated and offer first-mover advantage to those firms that
are willing to explore, experiment and disrupt their legacy indust-
ries - but this requires new business models and frameworks. Your
firm’s strategies and business models are bound to fail unless they
are rooted in moral values that demonstrate genuine care and con-
cern to solve the pain points of the world’s underserved majority.
This approach will establish a sustainable customer base for large
firms and startups to work together to expand their enterprises
through creation of new markets, products and services - but this
requires Open Innovation administered by benevolent leadership” –
Solomon Darwin

// Venture capital as cata-
lyst for Corp./Startup partnerships?
Different speeds, culture, perspectives: part-
nerships between startups and corporations

gaps and increase success rates of partnerships? Lukas André of
Redstone is discussing with distinguished panelists from Swisscom
Ventures (Stefan Kuentz), Swiss Post (Olivier Laplace), AXA (Claudia
Bienentreu), and Körber Digital (Arif Hatip) the motivation why cor-
porates build portfolios of startup investments and to what extent
such CVC activities help to facilitate corporate/startup partnerships.

as the future of digital product
development | Denis Danielyan,
Co-founder @ gravity & storm , CH,DE

Working closely in collaborative teams offers a new way of solving
developmental challenges and services in a sustaining and durable
manner. Instead of the classic approach, in which the success of a
project depends on single interactions between clients and service
providers, the goal of Co- Creation is to team up for a fixed period
in order to learn from each other and maximize the outcome. In the
long run, this results in self-sufficiency and empowerment for the
customer and highly satisfying project results.
