Introduction The Address by Marga Minco revolves around the theme of crisis that we, as an individual encounter in our daily life. War brings destruction, pain, and loss of lives which impact humans in various ways. However, this story speaks about the narrator and mother's life how they are disrupted due to war.
SHORT SUMMARY The Address begins with vicitum of war going back to her negative place .It is about daughter who returns to her home in Holland. She goes there to search for her mother belongings after the war. When she reaches her native place, she does not receive a warm welcome . She follows the address she has on her house No.46 in Marconi Street. A women opens the door. And refuses to recognize the girl on the door. The author notices the women wore her mother green knitted sweater. Thus, she became ever sure that she was in right place. However the women did not deny not knowing her mother.

Describe the first visit of Mrs.S daughter to the house of Mrs. Dorling ? = Mrs.S daughter found Mrs.Dorling house and rang the bell Mrs.Dorling opened the door but was not happy to see the visitor. She rudely said that people who had left did not return . She did not allow the visitor to come in and closed the door saying she could not do any thing for her. 2. What kind of welcome did the narrater get from Mrs Dorling ? = Mrs Dorling was cold and different and evidently displeased to see the author. In fact, she tried to prevent her from entering by blocking her entreance heater. She said it was not convenient for her to talk to the narrater at that point of time and refused to meet her.
