Introduction/Background
The healthcare industry is constantly evolving, and advancements in technology offer new
opportunities to improve patient care.
This project proposes the development of a Smart Health Consulting System (SHCS) a user-
friendly platform that leverages technology to enhance healthcare accessibility and empower
individuals to manage their health proactively.

Problem Statement
Improve healthcare access:Smart Health Consulting System will provide a convenient
platform for patients to connect with qualified healthcare professionals for consultations,
reducing geographical and time-based barriers.
Empower patients:The system will offer educational resources and symptom checkers,
allowing users to gain basic health knowledge and make informed decisions about their
well-being.
Enhance care coordination:Smart Health Consulting System will facilitate
communication between patients, doctors, and other healthcare providers, promoting a
more collaborative approach to care.
Streamline appointment scheduling:The platform will enable patients to schedule
appointments online, eliminating the need for phone calls and long wait times.
RESEARCH QUESTIONS/PROJECT SCOPE
This hospital management system focuses mainly on dealing with the patient, doctor,
and hospital records. Also, the system displays all the available hospital departments
and their respective doctors. In addition, the system allows creating a patient’s personal
account. This system is divided into three categories. They are Admin Panel, Patient
Panel, and Doctor Panel. In an overview of this system, the user can simply make an
appointment. Meaning, each user will have to fill up an appointment form from the
client side. The form consists of fields such as patient name, address, number, and
selection of department and doctor. During this procedure, the system creates personal
accounts for each patient. Patients seeking convenient and accessible healthcare
consultations.
Individuals interested in learning more about preventive healthcare and managing
their well-being.

STUDY OBJECTIVES
General Objective :
Planned approach towards working: The working in the organization will be well planned and
organized. The data will be stored properly in data stores, which will help in retrieval of information as
well as its storage.
Accuracy: The level of accuracy in the proposed system will be higher. All operation would be done
correctly and it ensures that whatever information is coming from the centre is accurate.
Reliability: The reliability of the proposed system will be high due to the above stated reasons. The
reason for the increased reliability of the system is that now there would be proper storage of
information.
Specific Objectives:
To design a user-friendly web interface.
To create a database to store patient records, doctor’s records, and other records from the lab and
pharmacy.
To create an interface where doctors can capture the symptoms of patients as well as the diagnosis
To create a portal to be able to add, edit delete, and view patients’ records, make appointment.
To create a report portal on various diagnoses and the number of patients that visits the hospital on a
daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
METHODOLOGY
Systems are designed keeping in mind an issue that is to be solved. Every system is
designed in its unique keeping in mind the requirement of the problem or the issue. This
system solves the problem of searching for the good that the customer’s needs.
System design involves the design of overall architecture, based on which we design
components, modules and interfaces. The beginning of any system architecture is by
decomposing it into smaller fragments. Decomposition and binding of components makes
the architecture easy to understand and makes it easier to understand.
This system uses algorithm for collecting data which will collect the data of user and have
data analysing algorithm which will analyse and highlight the needs of user.
IMPLEMENTATION PLAN
The project will be implemented in phases, with initial development
focusing on core functionalities like user registration, symptom
checking, and appointment scheduling. Subsequent phases will
introduce features like online consultations and medical record
management.
