Protostomes and Deuterostomes By: Noshaba Munawar

Protostomes and Deuterostomes based on the embryonic development, metazoans are divided into protostomes and deuterostomes. Protostomes are primitive  invertebrates  while deuterostomes include chordates and echinoderms. Given below in a tabular column are the differences between protostomes and deuterostomes.

Protostomes and Deuterostomes The primary gut that forms during gastrulation in the developing zygote is known as the  archenteron  or the digestive tube. It develops into the endoderm and mesoderm of an animal . he main  difference between archenteron and blastocoel  is that the  archenteron  is the primitive gut that forms during gastrulation whereas  blastocoel  is the cavity within the blastula that forms during blastulation

Why w called Spiral Determinate cleavage Spiral Determinate cleavage   occured in protostomes and if cell division occur cells are not aligned over one another rather then they aligned at an angle and if these cells are seperated then they will die and not have potential to develop into an organism

Trochophore and Dipleurula larvae Many protostomes developed tope shaped larvae called trochophore . Some deuterostromes possess bean shaped larvae called as deplurula larvae.
