PTCL:HISTORY 1947 In the early years of independence, telecommunication services were being provided by a department. Posts & Telegraph Department 1962 Was founded under the reign of General Ayub Khan Pakistan telephone & telegraph 1990-1991 On 5 th of December the PT&T was transformed into PTC. Privatization and Deregulation policy 2005 Etisalat bought 26% shares of PTCL. Etisalat 2001 . PTCL launched its mobile and data services subsidiaries in 2001. Ufone and PakNet 2019 .
