2. PERMIT TO WORK (PTW) A work permit system is a standard procedure designed to ensure that potentially hazardous routine and non routine works at the project can be carried out safely. WHEN? For all non-routine works, For hazardous routine works not covered by procedures, When work is performed: by your employees and/or third parties

3. PERMIT TO WORK (PTW) PURPOSE? To evaluate the very hazardous, non-routine jobs for which there are no Safe Job Procedures or approved Job Safety Plans. Certain jobs always require that a Safe Work Permit be issued by a qualified individual.

4. PERMIT TO WORK (PTW) HOT WORK PERMIT (Welding & Cutting): The Hot Work Permit is a form of Safe Work Permit issued by the Fire Department or other person responsible for fire safety . This permit is required for all situations which may result in fires or explosions.
