Pulmonary and Systemic Circulations

Pulmonary circulation
•Pulmonarycirculationcarriesdeoxygenatedbloodaway
fromtheheart,tothelungs,andreturnsoxygenated
bloodbacktotheheart.

Pathway of Pulmonary Circulation
•Fromtherightatrium,theDeoxygenatedbloodis

Systemic Circulation
•SystemicCirculationcarriesoxygenatedblood
awayfromthehearttothebody,and
returnsdeoxygenatedbloodbacktotheheart.

Pathway of Systemic Circulation

•The arteries branch into smaller arteries, arterioles, and
finally capillaries

•From the right atrium, the blood will travel
through the pulmonary circulation.
