•Greet and explain procedure to the patient
PRE PROCEDURE
•Provide privacy and perform hand hygiene
PRE PROCEDURE
•Select pulse point and position patient
appropriately
PRE PROCEDURE
•Place 2 or 3 middle fingers tips lightly and
squarely over the pulse site
PRE PROCEDURE
•Palpate and count pulsation for 1 minute

•Inform patient findings
