What is Contemporary Arts?

â–ª Art produced at the present period in time, includes and develops from postmodern art, which is itself a successor to Modern art. â–ª Art made and produced by artist living today. â–ª Statement that an artist makes about life, thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and many other things that define human life. Contemporary art is the art of today, produced by artists who are living in the twenty-first century. Contemporary art may combine elements of performance, painting, sculpture, dance, and many other media. Contemporary Arts

PERSONAL IDENTITY MAKING MASKS MATERIALS NEEDED : Paper/string or rubber bands, glue, scissors, coloring materials and other assorted materials for your designs PROCESS: Create a mask using any paper. You can use any shapes for the mask, can be full mask also. Make a small slit on the sides of the mask and attach a piece of string or rubber bands so that the mask can be worn. Decorate your mask with all the available materials that you have. Be ready to present or exhibit your mask in class explaining your masterpiece out of your creativity and resourcefulness. PRESENTATION: Choose best 3 output from your group and present them in class. Explain how you came up with these output and what ref l ection can you share after the activity.

Major Art Forms 1 . Music- art form that appeals to the sense of hearing, composed by combining notes into harmony. 2. Literature - art form of language through the combined use of words, creating meaning and experience. 3. Theater - Art form of performance. Dramatic text is portrayed on stage by actors and actresses and are enhanced by props, lights and sounds - form of art in which artists use their voices and/or their bodies, often in relation to other objects, to convey artistic expression.

4. Film - a technological translation of theater, special effects are utilized to enhance the story telling 5. Dance - art of the human form, body is used, mobilized and choreographed in a specific time, form and space. Major Art Forms
