Day 1 English Week 6 Quarter 1
English 2 Quarter 1 We learned about the letters of the alphabet. We also learned that these letters are composed of consonants and vowels.
English 2 Quarter 1 These letters form a word when we put them together.
For today’s lesson, we are going to give the beginning letter of the name of each picture. English 2 Quarter 1
Study the pictures and give the first letter of their names.
The first picture is a pen, its beginning letter is p, add the two-letter sound, -en, it will become ‘pen’.
Next is a bell. The beginning letter of ‘bell’ is b, add the two-letter sound or the rime,
-ell. Rimes are two-letter sound at the end of a word added to the beginning letter to form a whole word.

English 2 Quarter 1 Their beginning letter is b, add them to the rime - ag and –at, they will give you the words bag and bat
English 2 Quarter 1 b. This is a picture of a lid, and bill.
English 2 Quarter 1 Their beginning letters are l and b, add the ending sounds or rimes, –id and –ill, they will give you the words lid and bill.
